How to Access Nimbus
Follow these step-by-step instructions to register a new account and securely log into the portal using Two-Factor Authentication (TFA).
1. Registering a New Account

Select your University: On the
home page, click on the dropdown menu and select your corresponding institution from the approved list.

Choose Register: Click on "Register New Account" or switch to the Register tab.

Enter Credentials: Provide your desired username (lowercase, no spaces) and your official institutional email (e.g., name@liu.se). The email domain must map exactly to the university you selected.

Create a Strong Password: Secure your account with a strong portal password (min. 16 chars with numbers, mixed cases, and special characters). Do not use your LiU-ID or standard university login password.

Verify Email: Check your institutional email for a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code into the portal to finalize the creation of your account.
Note: If your university is missing or you require a custom affiliation, please contact support (clinical.genomics@liu.se).
2. Logging In with TFA

Select your University: Visit the
home page and select your university from the list.

Enter Credentials: Click "Sign In" and input the confirmed portal username and password you recently created.

Two-Factor Authentication (TFA): For top security, the portal will immediately issue a new 6-digit one-time passcode to your registered university email. (If you activated an Authenticator App like Google Authenticator, check the app instead).

Enter Passcode: Enter the 6-digit verification code into the security input boxes provided. The code is normally valid for 10 minutes.

Access Dashboard: Once successfully verified, you will be instantly navigated to your secure personal workspace to collaborate on or download your data.
